inMotion 2010 Annual Photography Auction & Benefit

Evening Program
6:00 - 7:15 pm
Cocktail reception / Photography Viewing and Silent Auction
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while viewing works by legendary masters and eminent contemporary photographers to be offered at the live auction later in the evening. And while you mingle, visit the silent auction to bid on classic photographs by Arthur Leipzig, Ernst Haas and Bob Gruen among others, as well as brilliant pieces by up-and-coming artists. The variety of works in our silent auction will offer something for every taste, with subjects ranging from famous figures like John Lennon and Julia Child, to iconic places such as Times Square and the Golden Gate Bridge. We are also excited to offer some special additions to the silent auction: two private commissions, a master photography class and the Graduate School Showcase for student photographers.

Graduate student showcase sampleFor the first time, inMotion invited students at the nation’s top graduate school photography programs to submit recent work to our silent auction. The results were extraordinary. We are proud to highlight five talented and unique young artists from this group: Shirin Adhami (Rhode Island School of Design), Natan Dvir (School of Visual Arts), Mimi Cabell (Rhode Island School of Design), Jennifer Garza-Cuen (Rhode Island School of Design) and Tatiana Grigorenko (Yale University). We look forward to featuring them again in the years to come.

Special thanks to Keren Sachs, Adam Bell (School of Visual Arts) and Eva Sutton (Rhode Island School of Design).

7:15 pm
