Bronx on Saturdays
On the second Saturday of each month, inMotion holds a walk-in clinic at our Bronx office (check our volunteer calendar for exact dates). Our office is located on the Grand Concourse in the Fordham Road section, a location that is central and easily accessible for borough residents. The clinic is especially beneficial for working women who are unable to reach inMotion during our usual mid-week intake hours.

Bilingual volunteers are especially helpful. If you are fluent in a language other than English and familiar with one of the many immigrant communities in New York City, you can provide culturally sensitive assistance to women who cannot communicate their legal needs to us in English. Spanish-fluency is particularly valuable, as more than 50% of our clients are Latina.

Your commitment
Clinic volunteers assist inMotion’s legal staff with meeting and interviewing clients to learn more about their legal issues. Experienced matrimonial and family law practitioners are also able to assist with providing pro se advice for clients who are able to proceed in court on their own. The time commitment for a clinic, including travel time, normally ranges between four to six hours.

InMotion staff provides training for all clinic volunteers.
