Field education
Assignments
Interns provide comprehensive social work services to women receiving legal representation from inMotion. Cases range from women in acute crisis, due to domestic violence, to women in the process of obtaining divorces who need an array of supportive services. Interns assist in developing and implementing educational opportunities for clients, such as financial literacy workshops and career-focused clinics.
Learn more about our cases.
Skills
Interns learn the skills of the clinician, planner, organizer, researcher, policy analyst and administrator. Field placements with inMotion provide a broad experience in practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.
Bilingual students
More than 50% of inMotion’s clients are Latinas. Interns fluent in Spanish, or another language spoken by a major immigrant community in our city, contribute their ability to communicate with many clients in their primary language about their needs for assistance.
