Measuring our success and maintaining our standards
InMotion welcomes students pursuing graduate degrees in psychology, sociology, public health and other social and behavioral science programs to work with us.
Program evaluation
Our program evaluation project tracks, measures and analyzes a multi-faceted and complex dataset with these major goals in mind:
- Understanding the impact of our services on the lives of the women and families we serve
- Evaluating the quality of the services we provide to both clients and to volunteers who assist in service delivery
Statistical analysis
We need volunteers to work in our offices who can bring valuable statistical and research experience to assist inMotion with:
- Organize and implement an improved methodology for client and volunteer evaluations
- Analyze and interpret services data and developing a framework for reporting results
- Conduct focus groups and individual outreach to clients to determine the impact of inMotion ’s services for them and their children
Your commitment
You and our director, legal services, will discuss and agree upon the general range of work you will undertake.
Often students volunteer one or more days a week for a semester or more. We encourage students to commit more significant blocks of time between semesters and during the summer months. A larger time commitment from you means the possibility of taking leading role on a major project.
Practicum
You may choose to use your internship at inMotion to satisfy the practicum requirements of your graduate degree program.
