On April 21, more than 1,000 inMotion friends and supporters packed the Waldorf=Astoria to celebrate our 16th year of service to New York City women and children. Thanks to their extraordinary generosity, the event raised over $2.1 million.

The evening honored Bob and Denise Dangremond for their lifetime commitment to justice for all individuals. Among those paying tribute to Bob and Denise were honorary co-chairs Marc Abrams, partner, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP; Frederick A. Crawford, chief executive officer, AlixPartners; Marcia L. Goldstein, partner, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP; Douglas C. Lane, president, Douglas C. Lane & Assoicates, Inc.; J. Gregory Milmoe, partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; Todd R. Snyder, managing director, Rothschild Inc.; and James H.M. Sprayregen, partner, Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Shelley C. Chapman, partner, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, and Jean E. Hanson, partner, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP served as benefit co-chairs.

For the 14th year, Denise Bethel of Sotheby’s presided over the podium to lead our highly competitive live auction. We give heartfelt thanks to the many artists, collectors and gallerists who donated impressive works of art to our live and silent auctions. And we are grateful to Photography Auction co-chairs Cathy M. Kaplan, Sidley Austin LLP and Yossi Milo, Yossi Milo Gallery, and committee members Bonni Benrubi, Elisabeth Biondi, Pascal Dangin, Howard Greenberg, Edwynn Houk, Robert Mann and Julie Saul, for their inspired work assembling this year’s auction collection.

A special thanks as well to the 170 volunteers whose essential behind-the-scenes efforts made the evening such a resounding success.
